check out members of the diamond smugglers on veronica mars tuesday, november 28 @ 8pm CST on the CW (channel 12 for you cats in austin with time warner cable.) some of us made an appearance on the show portraying a neil diamond cover band... it was really a stretch for us, acting wise. watch the show and see how we measure up. no... no... there will be no smugglette pudding wrestling or offensive neil-isms spouting forth from steve's mouth. because we're not really the actual diamond smugglers on the show. THAT's why they call it acting, my friends. ;)

on behalf of The Hackberries, Jess Farr, Gretagoo, and myself, I want to thank everyone who made it out to the flipntoics benefit on saturday night. with your donations, we raised $200 for relief efforts. as the red cross is currently unable to get into the city to distribute aid, we have decided to split up the proceeds in order to help those who need it most. depending on how the money is divided up between charities, wells fargo will match a portion of the proceeds for even more money going to aid those in need. my heart is filled with love and hope for the human spirit due to your generosity.

when i was but a wee lass, my mom used to draw pictures for me. and everytime she asked me, "what do you want me to draw," i always said... "a rabbit with a fan blowing on it." i don't know why. my mom doesn't know why. but the answer was always the same: "a rabbit with a fan blowing on it." maybe it's because it was funny and made me giggle.
my friend erica took these photos for me back in may; just about the time that i began working on the new album, tentatively titled, rabbit vs. fan. i hope you enjoy these photos and i hope they make you giggle.
